We have 3 large 2-bedrooom safari cottages that are ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together and 2 cosy 1-bedroom safari cottages that are much loved by couples and solo travellers.

WORTH KNOWING
WE’RE DOING THINGS A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY
HELPING YOU FEEL AT HOME
When it came to crafting the ideal home for your Kenya safari holiday we wanted our visitors to feel comfortable but still have a deep sense of communing with nature. So the safari cottages are built on a solid foundation with walls and windows but the front of the building is entirely canvas: roll up the front to enjoy a seamless connection with the outside world and roll it down when it gets a little chillier.
WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY
Day to day, the safari cottages are almost entirely run by our expert team of staff who are so excited to meet you, to greet you and to swop stories around the camp fire with you. You’re welcome to join Jarom in the kitchen, pick vegetables with Dom from the garden, see the stars with Peter, swop stories from home with John and learn all about the natural world and it’s wild ways with Mike.
DINING AT THE SAFARI COTTAGES
FOOD PREPARED WITH LOVE
Our wonderful team of chefs create delicious, wholesome and homey meals each day inline with your dietary requirements. We source as much as we can from vetted, local producers or from our own organic garden and our intention when you come to the table is for you to tuck into a hearty meal that feels like it was prepared with love and joy, because it was.
Picnics and Bush Brunches
PICNIC BREAKFAST
Your schedule on safari at The Safari Cottages is entirely up to you, but we do encourage you to spend as much time as possible out and about exploring Ol Pejeta’s beautiful wilderness and wildlife. Wildlife is most active in the early mornings, but so are our tummies, so we can pack a picnic breakfast for you for your morning game drive. This means you don’t need to rush back when you’re hungry; your guide will find a safe space in the bush for you to stretch your legs and enjoy a selection of fruit, home-made granola and baked goodies to with a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee.
BUSH BRUNCH
On request, and availability allowing, we host a bush brunch for our fully inclusive guests visiting us a in groups of four or more. On these very special occasions we relocate the kitchen, chef and waiter out into the bush for brunch by the river. Come hungry because you’ll be met by a parade of salads, fruit, baked goods and a hot meal cooked in situ!
*Bush brunches are provided on request and not guaranteed
