Where are we?

Covering 90,000 acres, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is renowned worldwide for its forward thinking approach to conservation and working with local communities to create the next generation of wildlife guardians.

It lies in the shadow of Mount Kenya and is home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, together with lions, leopards and cheetahs, elephants, giraffe; and a multitude of plains game and superb birdlife.

Flying in

Ol Pejeta Safari Cottages are easy to reach with daily scheduled flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to nearby Nanyuki Airstrip and (subject to availability), there’s also an option to fly directly into Kamok Airstrip, just 20 minutes’ drive away.

Driving in

Driving from Nairobi takes approximately four hours. Or if you don’t want to drive yourself, we can arrange a pick up and drop for you in a private, air conditioned vehicle.

Guests continuing on to other destinations can easily pick up onward flights to the Masai Mara, Samburu, Meru or return to Nairobi.

“We whiled away the mornings in the back yard seeing herds of elephants pass right by, while in the evenings we sat under a canopy of stars by a roaring fire.” Mrs. I.D. September 2016
